Sue Finlayson

Lead Vocal, Sax, Emcee & Band Leader

Sue has been a Professional Musician for over 20 years. She started out as a Lead performer in the National Act Show Band "New Moon". She toured with them throughout the U.S. and to Japan for 14 years.

In 1994 she returned home to the Capital District region to start her own band which eventualy led her to create Good for the Soul. Sue also gigs with 'Uptown' (Steven Scott Orchestras) in the city when she's not performing with Good for the Soul.

Katrina Marie

Lead Vocal & Percussion

Katrina has performed with national acts for Radio Disney, and was a Semi-Finalist on Season 2 of the hit Fox TV show American Idol. Katrina has toured nationally on the “You Gotta Believe” Tour in which the tour's music video was premiered at the New York State Museum 2006 Independent Film Festival.

As a soloist, she recorded a self-titled EP at Cotton Hill Studios in Albany, NY and has also been featured on local TV coverage including CR6 and FOX News.

Alan Saunders

Lead Vocal, Trumpet & Keyboards

Although he and Sue had known each other for years, they finally joined forces in 1994 when they formed 'Hidden Agenda'. That band eventually morphed into Good for The Soul!

Alan also spent many years as a road musician. He toured with his bands 'Final Take' and 'Topspin' for more than 10 years before settling back in his hometown area of Albany, NY.

Moses Sampson

Lead Vocal & Keyboards

Moses studied ethnomusicology at Skidmore College in Saratoga, NY. He played in local bands in the early 70's including 'The Hydro-Electrics' and was invited to play in the 1977 Berlin Jazz Festival in Berlin Germany which included the likes of Jazz legends Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Sheila E, John Scofield, Freddie Hubbard and Stanley Turrentine just to name a few.

Since then, he has toured with the R&B Group, 'The Persuaders' (thin line between love & hate... some Guys have all the luck). Moses has also played on studio sessions with The Gap Band and guitarist Rio Kawasaki of NYC.

Mike Derrico

Guitar

Mike was born into a very musical family. His father Pete was a professional musician and passed this gift down to his son. In fact, when Pete was asked what Mike's first word was, he insists that it was "Guitar".

Mike has studied and performed internationally. He has played on numerous jingles and soundtracks. Mike continues to teach privately and is really enjoying playing with Good for the Soul!

Tom Pirozzi

Bass Guitar

Tom played bass and wrote songs for the national jamband, Ominous Seapods. In that time they continuously toured North America playing such notable venues as Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, the Wetlands Preserve in NYC, and the House of Blues in LA, Boston and Chicago as well countless large outdoor festivals.

After the Seapods called it quits, Tom settled in Albany and joined forces with several bands including the Lo Faber band, Raisinhead, and finally, Good For The Soul. He also performs and writes music for the Pittsburgh based modern dance company, Attack Theatre, which he has toured with through Japan, Germany and Indonesia.

Joey Pucci

Drums & Percussion

Joey, besides playing in numerous acts and casino shows; has toured several years with the world famous Jordanaires (the vocal group behind Elvis Presley), Patsy Cline, Roy Orbinson, Ricky Nelson and many others.

Joey has also been house drummer at the Gatlin Brother Theater in South Carolina, The Tropicana Casino, The Clarage Casino, and the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Joey has many rock and roll credits including Robbie Kreeger (of The Door's) and the Georgia Satellites.

Joey provides the groove and very solid back beat for Good for the Soul.
